United Nations report on Kashmir continuation of false, motivated narrative: India
New Delhi: The Ministry of External
Affairs (MEA) has slammed the United
Nations’ Human Rights body’s
renewed calls to India and Pakistan to
take steps to improve the situation in
Jammu & Kashmir.
MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar
while speaking on the follow-up of the
report by the Office of United Nations
High Commissioner for Human Rights
(OHCHR) said it is merely a
continuation of a false and motivated
narrative
India also lodged a diplomatic protest
over the report which called on India
“respect the right of self
determination of the people of
Kashmir as protected under
international law”.
“The update of the Report of the
Office of the United Nations High
Commissioner for Human Rights
(OHCHR) is merely a continuation of
the earlier false and motivated
narrative on the situation in Jammu
and Kashmir,” MEA spokesperson
Raveesh Kumar in a statement on
Monday.
