New Delhi, November 16, 2016: In an endeavour to promote road safety and safe riding habits, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) inaugurated ‘Road Safety Programme’ in association with Delhi Traffic Police at 36th India International Trade Fair from November 15 to 27 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

 

The intensive road safety programme and safety riding activities are intended to further emphasise Honda’s commitment towards the society in spreading road safety education across the citizens at the Delhi Traffic Police Pavilion, Pragati Maidan.

 

Honda 2Wheelers conducts Safety Drive at India International Trade Fair

This year, at the Delhi Traffic Police pavilion, safety riding activities will be conducted for visitors across all age groups. Children in the age group of 5-6 years will be educated on road safety through primary activities like role plays and interactive road safety digital games. To make it a memorable experience for kids, a special drawing competition will be organised and participants will get a chance to win exciting prizes. Family photo booths and a special Digital Selfie Zone will also be present at the pavilion.

Honda CRF 50 training motorcycles will be present at the pavilion to help young minds (9-12 years) understand the importance of safety riding in a protected & controlled environment. Honda also plans to conduct various road safety games for adult visitors. Presence of Honda’s skilled safety instructors will help impart knowledge on road safety amongst the visitors. Riding trainer (also present at all Honda Exclusive Authorised Dealerships) will help aid riders above 16 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on the road.

Honda celebrates Children’s Day with ‘Safe Cycling’ School Programme

Promoting safe riding amongst the Indian youth and commemorating Children’s Day, Honda also conducted a week long (7th-14th November) ‘Safe Cycling’ activity with the objective to educate students on various aspects of road safety and spread awareness through an interactive environment. At all the locations where Honda’s 10 Traffic Training Parks are located, over 45 schools with more than 10,000 students participated in the ‘Safe Cycling’ road safety drive.
