New Delhi:When Delhi is covered with filth everywhere because of ongoing strike by MCD ,there is one place where people themselves came forward to make there surroundings clean. And its really praiseworthy .
The West Patel Nagar block C & D resident welfare members themselves took to the street to eradicate filth ,with the help of a daily worker under their coordination they took the step of cleaning the road ,collecting the garbage spread by people on road and then on their expense got it stacked in garbage bags and transported it to be thrown at a suitable place.
Talking to Rakesh Vasudeva ,Seema Kohli,Kulwant Singh and other member team. Rakesh Vasudeva a cable operator by profession and an active member said that the filth cannot be tolerated ,as it becomes a health concern not only for kids but for senior citizens too apart from youth and if the need arise they will always come forward for the betterment of the people living in their vicinity . As MCD is on loggerheads with the ruling party AAP on non payment issue striking and not coming on duty allotted this step of people themselves coming forward and caring about cleanliness is a very appreciative step.
Seema Kohli another social worker said that she will always take important steps of protecting people from health hazards and if MCD cannot do their work we will ourselves do the necessary.
