DJB OFFICIALS TO HOLD REGULAR MEETINGS WITH RESIDENT WELFARE ASSOCIATIONS
New Delhi: The Delhi Jal Board, in line with its mandates of the Summer Action Plan, has taken the following steps to increase its competence to address issues pertaining to water and wastewater:
- All Executive Engineers (Water and Sewer Maintenance) along with the concerned Zonal Revenue Officers have been directed to chalk-out a schedule for meeting different Resident Welfare Associations to address issues related to water, sewage, billing etc. of their concerned areas.
- Through this interaction the problems can be easily identified and can be speedily resolved.
- This kind of an interface would enable the Delhi Jal Board officers to be more accessible for quick resolution of issues being faced by the consumers of DJB.
- Such public interaction would allow DJB an access to the information pertaining to leakages and spillages in different areas, and help DJB induce efficiency in its system by enabling it to respond with much better preparedness to meet such emergencies during the ensuing summer months.
- Other than this, this platform would also allow DJB the opportunity to share information about the best practices to avoid wastage of water.
- These schedules would be drafted in such a manner that all the RWAs would be covered at regular intervals.
