VIGILANT DELHI POLICE COPS THWARTS BURGLARY ATTEMPT AT MOUNT CARMEL SCHOOL,ANAND NIKETAN
Burglary attempt in Mount Carmel School, Anand Niketan thwarted by alert cops.
3 boys arrested / apprehended.
New Delhi: With the arrest / apprehension of three persons namely William Hangsha (age 19 years), Rohul Moirangthen (age 20 years) and Amar (name changed being CCL), all natives of Manipur, alert police staff of PS South Campus, South District thwarted an attempt to commit a burglary and vandalism in a missionary school.
Brief facts :
In the aftermath of incidents of vandalism in a Church and theft in a missionary school in South District, security arrangements have been intensified at churches and schools being run by missionaries in South District to prevent further such incidents. Day and night deployment of staff has been made at all such establishments and staff was briefed promptly to be alert and vigilant. In the intervening night of 28/29.05.15, three persons William Hangsha, Rohul Moirangthen and Amar (name changed being CCL), all native of Manipur scaled the 8 feet high boundary wall of Mount Carmel School, situated in posh area of Anand Niketan, New Delhi (falling in the jurisdiction of PS South Campus). While crossing the boundary wall of the school, accused Rahul sustained injuries as glass pieces studded in the wall, pierced one of his feet and he fell down on the ground. The commotion attracted the attention of the cops on duty in the school who rushed to the spot immediately and caught all the three before they could escape. On their search, a torch and a screw driver was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 291, dated 29.05.15 u/s 457/380/511/34 IPC, PS South Campus has been registered and investigation taken up.
Interrogation :
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused William Hangsha and Rohul Moirangthen were the student of Mount Carmel School and had appeared in board examination of 12th this year. While William cleared his 12th, but Rohul could not clear one of his papers and will have to re-appear.
Further investigation revealed that last year Rahul hit one of his girl classmates, belongs to his native state i.e. Manipur with a glass bottle. She suffered a severe injury in her eye and remained hospitalized for a month. The matter was not reported to police as both the families had compromised. Rohul also misbehaved with a female teacher of the school who taught accountancy to him. He was considered as a violent, arrogant and aggressive student.
Since Rohul could not clear his Accountancy paper and was scolded by the teachers for his indiscipline and misbehavior, he developed a grudge against the school administration. Rahul intended to fly back to his native place on 29.05.15 and has a reservation in a flight. But before leaving Delhi, he wanted to settle the score with school. All the three had a drinking session in the room of Rohul and decided to teach a lesson to school administration. They planned to commit theft and damage the school property. At about 3 AM, when they could not gain access in the school premises due to presence of security staff, they decided to enter in the school by scaling the boundary wall. Before they could do any damage to the school property or commit any crime, alert police team consisting of ASI Ram Niwas, Ct. Beer Sing, Ct. Dinesh and Ct. Nek Singh caught them red handed.
