Lt. Governor announces 1 Crore to the next of kin of the Delhi Police Constable killed recently

New Delhi: LG: “I pay tribute to the departed soul, who laid down his life, while serving our Nation. May his family bear the loss with strength and fortitude.”

The Lt. Governor Shri Najeeb Jung today announced that a sum of Rs. 1 Crores shall be given as compensation to the next of kin to the Delhi Police constable who was killed recently.

The incident involved Constable Jagbir Singh from Delhi Police, who was killed on 13th October 2014 in the Vijay Vihar area. Constable Jagbir Singh’s family shall be paid an amount of 1 Crores as compensation.

Mourning the loss of the Delhi Police Constable, Shri Najeeb Jung said, “I pay tribute to the departed soul, who laid down his life, while serving our Nation. May his family bear the loss with strength and fortitude.”
